How to fix 4C: safe DIY steps

Make sure the hot and cold supply hoses go to the correct inlets (hot to hot, cold to cold) and are not bent or kinked. Do not use Flood Safe hoses
Open the water valves completely and leave them open while the washer runs
Check the drain hose is inserted properly and not kinked (6 to 8 inches into the drain pipe). Do not remove the screw on the back that holds the drain hose
Unplug the washer or flip its breaker for 1 minute, restore power and try a cycle
To check for debris, turn the supply valves off, disconnect the hoses from the back of the washer, look inside the connections and carefully clean the filters; open the valves fully again after reconnecting
