How to fix 3C: safe DIY steps

  1. Power off the washer for 2-3 minutes
  2. Power it back on
  3. Restart the cycle
  4. If the error continues, request service through Samsung's Support Center
Safety firstUnplug the washer (or switch off its breaker) and close the water taps before you reach behind it, handle hoses or open a filter. Water left from a recent hot cycle can be very hot, so let it cool first. Never bypass the door lock. Motor, pump, valve, sensor and control-board repairs belong to a qualified appliance technician.

Capacitors can hold a charge after the power is off. Safety terms.

When to call a pro

Samsung gives 3C no specific troubleshooting beyond the power cycle and restart; if it keeps returning, request service. Samsung's Smart Install self-test shows 3C when its high-speed spin check fails, but Samsung says not to run Smart Install while the washer is already showing an error code. If your manual lists 3E as a voltage error, use the 9C1 voltage-error page instead.
