Likely causes
- Laundry not evenly distributed, for example from incorrect use of a laundry net
- Load too large or too small
- Items not suited to machine washing (pillows, cushions, bathroom mats, carpets, electric blankets, curtains, rubber mats)
- Washer not level
How to fix UE: safe DIY steps
- Pause the washer, take the laundry out and spread it evenly in the drum, then choose an appropriate spin cycle
- Aim for a load of about 2/3 of the drum capacity
- Wash blankets with the Duvet cycle and padded or down jackets with the Sportswear cycle, both at medium spin speed
- If you use a laundry net, fill it only to 2/3 and wash two or three nets together with some clothes rather than one net alone
- Rock the washer from the front, back and side to check for unevenness; adjust the leg on the side the unit tilts with a wrench until the legs sit firmly on the floor, and check with a level on the top plate
Capacitors can hold a charge after the power is off. Safety terms.
