- Make sure the washer is powered on
- Press and hold the Child Lock button for 3 seconds to turn Child Lock off or on
- On some models Child Lock is not one button. LG says it can be a combination of two buttons. Use the pair named in that model's manual
Safety firstUnplug the washer (or switch off its breaker) and close the water taps before you reach behind it, handle hoses or open a filter. Water left from a recent hot cycle can be very hot, so let it cool first. Never bypass the door lock. Motor, pump, valve, sensor and control-board repairs belong to a qualified appliance technician.
