How to fix CL: safe DIY steps
- If the dishwasher is powered on, Control Lock can be turned off. Long-press the CL button or buttons for 3 seconds
- On the models LG names, long-press Half Load and Energy Saver together for at least 3 seconds
- If a cycle ended with Control Lock still on, LG says it stays on after the dishwasher powers off, and CL shows again the next time you turn it on. Turn Control Lock off, then run the dishwasher

When to call a pro
CL is the lock feature, not a failed button and not a failed control. Not the same as LG washer CL: on the washer, LG says to hold that model's Child Lock button, or the two-button pair named in the washer manual, for 3 seconds. Do not use Half Load and Energy Saver on the washer. Those two names are the dishwasher instructions.
