Dishwasher water supply line

Bosch E16 to E18, LG IE and GE H2O all start with a kinked inlet hose or closed valve. What to check and what to buy.

Updated

What it is

Bosch (E16/E17 and E18), LG (IE) and GE (H2O) list a kinked, bent or damaged inlet hose, and LG and Bosch list a closed or low water supply.

How to choose

  • Match the thread size and length to your valve and dishwasher; check the fittings on the old line.
  • Bosch gives the required flow as 10 litres per minute, so a partly restricted line can cause errors.

How it is tested

  • LG: check that the kitchen and bathroom taps have water, make sure the inlet hose is not pressed or kinked, and check the inlet valve and the shut-off valve in the sink cabinet by turning each anti-clockwise to open.

Replacing it

  • Close the shut-off valve, switch off the dishwasher at its breaker, place a pan under the connection, replace the line and check for leaks when you reopen the valve.
Safety firstWater and power off first.

Capacitors can hold a charge after the power is off. Safety terms.

Where to buy

These are Amazon links. Product page links go to one specific listing whose title we read on Amazon; we do not say it fits your model. Search links open search results, which change. Always confirm your model number and the part number in your manual.

Read the length and the connection on the old hose. The searches below are by part name. They are not a fit for your model.
