What does Bryant 15 mean?

Blower motor lockout. The blower failed to reach 250 RPM, or failed to communicate, within 30 seconds after being turned on, in two successive heating cycles. The control auto-resets after 3 hours. The chart says to see status code 41.

Bryant 15 is the blower-motor lockout on the 80% two-stage chart, not the fault while the blower is still being watched. The blower failed to reach 250 RPM, or failed to communicate, within 30 seconds after it was turned on, and that happened on two heating cycles in a row. The control auto-resets after 3 hours and says to see code 41. Code 41 is the fault itself, including a miss during steady running. Code 12 is only the 90-second blower run after power-up.

Safety firstIf you smell gas, do not touch any electrical switch or use a phone in the building; leave immediately and call your gas supplier from outside. Turn off electrical power at the furnace switch or breaker before opening any panel, and never bypass or jumper a limit, rollout or pressure switch. Gas valve, burner, venting, wiring and control-board work should be done by a licensed HVAC technician.
