Likely causes

  • Washer overloaded and the motor strained
  • Coin or foreign object stuck in the tub
  • Temporary error

How to fix LE: safe DIY steps

  1. Unplug the power cord, wait 5 minutes and try the cycle again
  2. Reduce the load and select the bedding cycle for a heavy load or large blankets
  3. Turn off the power, unload the washer and look for a coin or other object stuck in the tub; remove it with pliers or tweezers
Safety firstUnplug the washer (or switch off its breaker) and close the water taps before you reach behind it, handle hoses or open a filter. Water left from a recent hot cycle can be very hot, so let it cool first. Never bypass the door lock. Motor, pump, valve, sensor and control-board repairs belong to a qualified appliance technician.

Capacitors can hold a charge after the power is off. Safety terms.
