Hard lockout: the rollout circuit is open, or it was open.
Lennox E200 is the SL280DFNV seven-segment code for a rollout hard lockout. The installation instructions say the rollout circuit is open or was open, and the action is to correct that cause or replace the flame rollout switch, then test the furnace. It clears after the fault is recovered. It is not the ML180 red-slow / green-on limit pattern, and it is not E250, which is the limit circuit on this same control.
Likely causes
- Rollout switch open
- Rollout switch was open and the cause has not been corrected
Safe checks for E200
- Leave the furnace off. Do not reset a rollout switch and try another cycle
- Techniciancorrect the cause of the rollout trip, or replace the flame rollout switch, then test furnace operation. The code clears after the fault is recovered
Capacitors can hold a charge after the power is off. Safety terms.
When to call a pro
E200 is a rollout hard lockout. It is not the ML180 pattern of red slow flash with green on, and it is not E250 (limit circuit open). Call a licensed HVAC technician.
