Open fuse, with no furnace operation.
Amana EE5 is an open fuse, and the furnace does not run. The chart pairs that with a short in the low-voltage wiring. Replace the fuse only after the short is found, which is technician work. A larger fuse is not the fix. EE0 lockout still shows a code and has tried to light. EE5 does not get that far.
Likely causes
- Open fuse
- Short in low voltage wiring
Safe checks for EE5
- Do not replace the fuse with a larger one to get heat back
- Technicianreplace the fuse only after locating and correcting the short in the low-voltage wiring
Capacitors can hold a charge after the power is off. Safety terms.
