What it is
LG's tCL is a maintenance reminder, not a fault. LG says to empty the tub, pour in powder washing machine cleaner (sold near the detergent in most retail stores), then run the Tub Clean cycle, and to run it monthly.
Tablet and powder cleaners each have their own directions on the package; follow them and your washer manual.
How to choose
- Follow your washer's manual on what cleaner it allows.
- Powder, tablet and liquid cleaners exist. Choose one labelled for your washer type (front-load or HE) and follow the package directions.
How to use it
- Empty the drum, add the cleaner as the product directions say, select Tub Clean (LG) or Clean Washer and run it.
