Likely causes

  • The unit is wired as a communicating system and the integrated control module contains invalid shared data, or the network data is invalid for that module

Safe checks for d1

  1. Write down d1. It is not d0 (no shared data) and not d2 (system mismatch)
  2. Technicianverify communicating or legacy wiring, populate the correct shared data with Bluetooth Shared Data Loader BTSDL01, or wire the system as a legacy system
  3. Technicianturn power off before the repair, insert the loader before power is turned on, and turn power off before the loader is removed
Safety firstOutdoor units carry line voltage even when the thermostat is off. Switch off the unit's disconnect and breaker before touching anything. Refrigerant, wiring, compressor and control-board work must be done by a licensed HVAC technician.

Capacitors can hold a charge after the power is off. Safety terms.

When to call a pro
